God has been calling me to teach and I have responded with a yes on the altar, as my pastor says. I have always resisted that - I don't think I'll ever be a teacher so much as a student that can't stop sharing everything that they learn. But God has called me to pour into other people the things that I know and learn from him. Whenever I think about that, Paul's words in Phillipians and 2nd Timothy come to mind ...
Phil 2:17 But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.
2nd Tim 4:6 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure.
I think that's how he means it. Pour into other people like a drink offering. Share the water that you have. Any time, any place, any where, any one, any age group. We ought to be prepared to show others how to find Him, how to learn about Him, how to have a relationship with Him, how to stand firmly planted in Him.
Somehow I think this works better a few at the time. I like small bible studies.
