I'm eager to do it. Maybe he'll show me why he's been bringing to my attention with such great frequency the following verse:
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,"declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not toHe's been putting this verse in front of me continuously since June of last year.
harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
The first thing that I discovered is that I have a LOT in common with Jeremiah. His fears and insecurities are my fears and insecurities. That first chapter showed me that HE needed a lot of reassurance - and God answered each concern.
If you're looking for good studies - from light to deep - try Precepts International and for online studies try the internet videos. Jeremiah should be in the archives for awhile though it will start dropping off in a week or two. You can even order a workbook for whatever is currently being taught. I can speak from experience when I say that they are really good.
What have I been studying lately ? A really awesome study from Precepts on the Kinsman Redeemer. If you haven't studied that topic in depth - that's a good place to start. It's a 3 week study of Ruth with side trips into Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Daniel and Revelation.
I've also spent some time looking at Galatians. You know that is the foundation book for Christians. Everyone ought to make sure they know that book well.
And I also took a little side trip to view the furnishings of the Tabernacle at the suggestion of a friend.
Here are some neat things I studied. I found clues that have helped me to understand
- What the Covenant of Death really is
- Who the whore that rides the scarlet beast probably is
- What the sealed book of Revelation may be
- What it may mean for the daily sacrifice to cease
Everywhere I go, I find answers. It's great to study !
