There are all kinds of rain showers. Light, misty rains that nourish but don't disturb anything. Powerful angry thunderstorms that boom and crash and burn. Steady soakers that bring life back to parched earth.
I'm thinking of a light, steady, soaking rain on a sown field. A refreshing rain that makes the plants green and vibrant, ushering in a good harvest by keeping the soil moist and the grain tender and full. I'm thinking that God's Word is like that - and I'm looking for a good harvest rain.
